Strengths
Eights are comfortable with consequence. They can hold authority without flinching, make a decision that costs someone something, and think in years and orders of magnitude.
They are also, when honest, the most useful people in any room where resources have to be allocated rather than discussed.
Shadow
Confusing net worth with self-worth, and treating people as line items once the pressure rises.
The inverse is just as common: avoiding money entirely, so that the number never has to be a verdict on the person.
Work
Executive work, finance, ownership, anything where the numbers are yours to answer for. Eights grow into roles rather than out of them.
The discipline is transparency: an eight that explains its reasoning is trusted twice as far.
Love
Eights give generously and struggle with vulnerability, because vulnerability is not a position of strength and they are fluent in positions.
Authority at home has to be shared rather than managed, which for an eight is a genuinely difficult practice.
